Overview:
EVS is seeking a Sr. Water Resources Engineer to join our Civil / Solar team. The successful candidate will perform activities primarily in the design of Solar, but also in Commercial and Military projects. Duties will include stormwater modeling and hydrologic analysis related to flood control, ditches and
other conveyances, preparation of stormwater reports, and the opportunity to work with clients and permitting agencies. We are seeking an Engineer who shares our passion for high quality design.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare hydraulic design documents for projects including calculations, drawings and specifications
Perform stormwater modeling, basin design, and report writing
Perform sub‐watershed modeling to determine flood analysis
Work directly with clients and design team on stormwater design considerations
Work with plan reviewers and agency officials to facilitate permit approvals
Work with contractors during construction‐phase (troubleshooting design/BMP’s modifications)
Distribute work to Staff Engineers or other Project Engineers
Train Staff Engineers on design software, calculations, and design concepts
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil / Environmental Engineering from an ABET accredited program with
emphasis on water resources and hydraulic design
5+ years of experience in any water resources with a focus on hydrology and water quality
Water resource design of solar projects is preferred but not required
Professional Engineering Registration preferred
Proficient with Autocad Civil 3D, HydroCAD, FLO‐2D, XPSWMM, GIS, and other floodplain
analysis and mapping software
Is detail oriented and efficient in problem solving
Passionate about water resources and stormwater design
Experience in or willingness to research storm water and erosion control requirements in
jurisdictions outside of Minnesota
